Day one of basic training, and the new recruit announces he is already making friends. Then a sergeant cuts in with one word, "Enough," and two recruits find out who runs this unit.
Episode 1: a hill, a colonel and a punishment order
I pressed play on episode 1 with a free Candy.ai login on October 16, 2026. The recruit narrates, calling Sgt. Diana Demont terrifying and admitting, in the same breath, that he cannot stop looking at her. As commanding officer she wants both troublemakers to learn that messing around in her unit has a price: she sends one up the hill at a run, hopes out loud that someone missed dinner and tells the narrator flatly that he belongs to her now.
Then a colonel is announced, the platoon snaps to attention, and the recruit wonders whether the sergeant is the colonel's sister or his wife. Once the platoon is dismissed, she tells him to wipe that smirk off his face and report to her office for punishment. He answers, to himself, that he will take whatever she hands out.
Scrubbing the CO's floor
He shows up, which earns a grudging "Good," because the sergeant hates chasing cowards. The punishment is housework: the swamp has been tracked across her office, so he scrubs the floor on his knees while she heads off to shower and orders him to be done by the time she is out.
What follows plays as a comedy of nerves. Something happens that he knows he should not watch, and his whispered narration becomes a loop: don't look, this is not happening, she must know I can see her. Then she calls him in, tells him to stop pretending to clean and says it is an order. Busted. The episode closes on her promise of a surprise.
A colonel's wife and 25 more episodes
The setup fills in the rest: a commanding officer the base treats as untouchable, a husband with the higher rank, and a recruit who gets to know the person behind the stripes. The free pair plants most of it: the hill, the office, a colonel who shares her last name. What stays open is how a private keeps a secret on a base her husband runs. Episodes 3 to 27 sit behind Candy Shorts tokens, so my recap stops here.
On October 16, 2026, 142 of the 159 Candy AI Shorts series stopped at five episodes, while this one runs 27 and only My Bestie Betrayed Me, at 34, runs longer.
Who is Sgt. Diana Demont?
She runs the unit by voice, and the colonel's arrival puts a rank above hers. The recruit narrates and has no name in the dialogue. Both are AI-generated Candy Shorts characters and fictional adults, with no creator's likeness attached.
Heat check: what the free pair shows
Our score is 4 on a five-level scale, which means adult scenes fill a large part of the paid episodes' running time. The free pair of this Candy Shorts series stays on the clothed side of the line: no nudity, no sex, just a tense, flirty script and a lot of looking away. Mind the volume on the bus, because the language is the spiciest part. Our explicitness guide walks through the scale.
What will the full 27 episodes cost?
At 12 tokens apiece, the 25 paid episodes come to 300 tokens, the same as three months of the 100 tokens in Candy.ai's Premium plan. The free pair costs zero tokens, so the audition is cheap. Plans and refunds are in what Premium costs, and the free episodes guide lists what a free account opens.
Is YES MA'AM worth following on Candy Shorts?
Yes, if you like a slow burn with a chain of command and want 27 episodes of it. The hook is the setup: a rank gap, a husband who outranks her and a recruit who cannot keep his eyes on the floor. Skip it if a story that wraps up in one sitting is more your speed. Under the Boss and Under the Chief also put rank between the leads and run five episodes each. The rest of the shelf is in the series hub.
