Morning brings a quiet goodbye from Sophie, then Jake waking alone. When he asks where she went, Veronica answers: Sophie rushed into town for work and will be back in the evening. Veronica asks for help with a stretch, Jake says he should not, and she points out that no one else is around to ask. He admits there are a lot of things he has not done, and her two-word reply settles the argument. She mentions a shower and adds that he can come if he wants. Veronica Parker is Sophie's mother and the host of the week, and she sets the pace in both free episodes. She is warm on the surface, quick with a joke and fond of ending a sentence with a challenge. Sophie is the fiancée and the reason Jake is in the house. Jake narrates, confesses on the first line and spends the free pair half a step behind. Sophie's father is mentioned but held up, so the house belongs to the other three. The cast is generated, and no digital twin of a creator is involved.
