You paused the teaser on a title card that lasted half a second, caught no name, and the caption only said part one. That is how most people meet Candy Shorts, and this page covers the name, the format and what sits behind the cut.
What is Candy Shorts, and how is it different from the chat?
Candy.ai is mostly known for its AI characters, the ones you message back and forth. Candy Shorts is its series section, and it flips the arrangement: you watch instead of talk. A Candy AI series here is a story with a script, a cast and a cliffhanger, split into episodes framed for a vertical screen. The premises fit in one breath, like a woman forced to share a house with the stepbrother she refuses to respect in Mona's Worst Enemy, or a sergeant who takes the newest recruit under her wing.
The help center spells out the rules of the format. Scenes are written in advance, each with a setup, a turn and an ending, and watching one leaves your chat history with any character untouched. You cannot steer the story, and that is the whole difference between a series and a chat. The writers decide, the cliffhanger lands where they put it, and the next episode is how you find out what comes next.
The clips you meet on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube are Candy Shorts videos cut at the hook. Candy.ai runs official accounts on those three, plus X and Facebook, under the handle trycandyai. The full episodes play inside Candy.ai, and our Dailymotion and YouTube guide covers the clips that turn up on other sites.
How long is an episode, and what is the vertical player like?
Short is the point. I checked the subtitle timing on the 286 free episodes, and the final line of dialogue arrives under two minutes, with a median near 63 seconds. A sitcom cold open has about that much room, enough for a setup, a complication and a hook, and the writers spend the whole budget.
Length per series varies more than length per episode. Five episodes is the standard: 142 of the 159 series run five, so a typical series fits inside ten minutes at most. The marathons are the outliers: My Bestie Betrayed Me goes on for 34 episodes, YES MA'AM for 27, and Mona's Worst Enemy, Caught Between Sisters and Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right for 15 apiece, which turns a coffee-break habit into a season.
The Candy Shorts player is the other half of the format. It keeps a 9:16 frame, the shape of a phone held upright, so a desktop browser shows a tall, narrow video and a phone gives it 75 percent of the screen height (read from the page code on September 24, 2026). Picture-in-picture is switched off, so an episode stays in its page.
Subtitles come in six languages in the Mona's Worst Enemy player: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. English tracks exist for the free episodes of 143 series. They belong to the logged-in player, because the same page loaded without an account carried an empty track list on October 16, so log in first if you watch with the sound off.
How is the catalog sorted, and what do the badges mean?
Candy.ai sorts the library three ways. Shelves come first: Candy characters and Other characters hold invented casts, and Candy Creators holds the series built on licensed digital twins, 19 of the 159. Filters come second. The row at the top held 13 entries, All series, New and Spicy, then tags for the relationship or the setup, such as Stepsister, Stepmom, Wife, Taboo, Fantasy, Teacher and Maid. Order comes third, and the grid in its default order runs newest first.
Badges do the signaling. New and New Episodes sit on the same cards, 15 series on October 16, and the New filter pulls them up in one tap. New Shorts arrive over time without a fixed release calendar, so that list keeps moving. Spicy marks 14 series that need Premium from the first episode, a lock our Spicy shelf guide explains.
A featured carousel sits above the grid like a shop window. It held ten series that day, from My Step-Sister's Dormitory to My Girlfriend's Twin, and it mixed two creator series, a 27-episode military story and two Spicy titles. That reads as a curated pick, not a chart. I found no trending or top list on the public pages, so our series hub scores and sorts the titles instead.
Is Candy Shorts all AI, and who is the cast?
Yes, Candy Shorts is AI from start to finish. Scenes, settings and faces are generated, and the people on screen are invented adults, which is why the cast of a typical series reads like Mona, David or Sgt. Diana Demont instead of a row of actress names. If you came to find out whether it is real, the video is not a recording of a person.
One shelf plays by different rules. Candy Creators carries six names, from Riley Reid and Mia Malkova to Asa Akira, and each lends a licensed digital twin to one or more series. None of them performed in the episodes built around her twin. The twin supplies a name and a likeness, and generated scenes do the rest. Our creators hub has the full list, and the porn guide covers how adult the paid episodes get.
What happens at the end of an episode?
This is the part that surprised me. When an episode of Mona's Worst Enemy ended, the player did not just stop. It offered a chat with Mona Newman, the lead of the story. The series is the trailer, and the chat is a sequel that talks back.
The offer is common but not universal. In the 111 open series checked on September 24, 2026, 92 ended on a chat offer with the lead character, and the other 19 invited you to build a character of your own, Sworn to the Queen among them. A free account could send five messages at most on that date, while Premium lists unlimited text messages, so the chat is where a free viewer meets a paywall of a different kind. The numbers on plans and tokens belong to our pricing page.
Is there a Candy Shorts app?
The app Candy.ai offers is the site itself, saved to your home screen. On September 24, 2026, the plans page carried a Get App button with two short sets of steps: on an iPhone, tap Share and then Add to Home Screen, and on Android, open the browser menu and pick Add to Home Screen. You end up with an icon that opens Candy.ai, and CandyShorts opens inside it like any other section.
A file you download is a different thing from those steps, whether it is called an APK, an installer or a full-episodes pack, and our leaked guide covers that ground. For the install steps and for watching on a phone, see our Candy AI videos and app guide.
The bottom line
Candy Shorts is a phone-first adult series format: scripted stories, a generated cast, episodes you finish in a minute or two and a chat button waiting at the end. It suits viewers who like a plot that stops on a hook. It does not suit anyone who wants to steer the story or who wants no adult content. The first two episodes are the cheapest way to find out where you land, and our free episodes guide explains how that works.
