I watched the opening episodes from a free Candy.ai login, subtitles on. Riley is hurrying Jack along, and the morning plays like a couple's usual squabble: she says she told him he wouldn't wake on time, a playful "I hate you" flies back, and she asks for an honest opinion before deciding she can't go out like that. She tells him she thinks her stepmom is going to like him. It has been about two years, Regina has been busy, and she really wants to meet him.
Then the reunion. Riley greets Regina warmly and says how much she missed her, and Regina answers in kind and says, look at you. Turning to Jack, Regina says he must be Jack, adds that she didn't know Riley's boyfriend was this handsome and remarks that Riley has a strong man. Riley rolls on, talking about college: three papers due, almost living in the library, though it is worth it. Jack has been the sweetest, she says, and once drove two hours just to bring her coffee. He has been really good lately. Then she proposes that the three of them dance, and that is the last line.
Episode 2: a dance, a mess and a discovery
The second episode picks up with the dancing. Someone says let's go, Regina. An accident follows, with a rushed apology, a sharp question about what is wrong with someone and a complaint that something is all over them. A request goes out: Jack, can you help me with this? He stammers through a half-offer that trails off before it lands.
Then a voice finds the two of them together. Oh my God, it says, you guys are in here. The episode closes on a demand to know where someone is going.
From a dance to a triangle
The setup describes steamy nights with Riley that change course once her stepmother makes her interest known, and playful teasing that becomes an entanglement neither woman wants to end. The free pair stays close to that outline. Regina's compliment to Jack in episode 1 is the first sign, and by episode 2 he is being asked to help with a mess and then gets found. What each woman knows is a question for the paid episodes of CandyShorts, and my viewing stopped at the second.

Riley is the college student with the papers, Jack is her boyfriend and the viewpoint character, and Regina is the stepmom, whose first lines come in the reunion.
