The second episode brings the husband in. The boyfriend notes that he alone knows what the wife did, and she tells him that Frank, her husband, does not notice much. She asks him to come to her room tonight and not keep her waiting, and he answers that she is insane because the husband is right there. She asks him to fix her dress while the family is just outside, and when the girlfriend interrupts with a complaint about her mother hogging her boyfriend, the mother says she is only getting to know him. He insists it has to stop. She repeats that Frank is asleep early. Later he turns up at her room, saying he should not be there, and her answer is that the games are over. The episode closes on his narration: there is no walking away now.

The story adds one more twist on top of the blackmail. The mother is carrying his child, a detail the free episodes leave out, so I count it as backstory.
