For $500 and one pill, Owen gets a superpower, and he spends his first day grinning about a secret he thinks he alone holds.
Episode 1 of I Can See Through Everyone But Her on Candy Shorts: the pill and the grin
Free Candy.ai account, captions on: I started with the price tag, which is the first thing the episode says. Five hundred dollars, one pill, and the smartest decision of Owen's life. Someone asks whether he is okay, since he looks ready to pass out, and he says he is great, twice. His narration calls it a superpower that he alone knows about. A reminder that rent is due again follows, with a question about Friday. Owen smiles, someone asks why, and he tells a Mrs. Alvarez she looks really good today. She answers in two words: "Friday, Owen." A follow-up appointment is mentioned to a Mr. Hale, the clock jumps to day two, and the episode ends on a line that sets the puzzle: "I know you can't see through me."
Episode 2: nosebleeds, bones and a game with rules
The second Candy Shorts episode opens with the power misbehaving. Owen insists he saw the bones in his own head, and the sight will not stop. A woman talks him through it: breathe, nosebleeds are normal, drink this. Then she turns from nurse to examiner. She needs to know how deep his sight goes, and a panicking subject is no use, so they will play a game: for each mark he finds on her, she takes one thing off. He says he does not want to play, and she answers that those are the rules. He names a birthmark hidden under her skirt, and she confirms it. He names a tattoo under her blouse, and she confirms that too. She calls it done and tells him he is expected at the lab tomorrow at 9:00. Then Owen says he can see through that as well, and there is a scar under it. He asks her to remember the rules, and the episode ends there.
Ten days and one exception
The setup gives the story a clock: Owen has ten days before his eyes burn out. It also names the exception from the title: Dr. Larrea, the researcher running the study, who is married to the man who dosed him and is the one woman he cannot read. No one says her name in the free pair, and the subtitles do not say whether the woman in episode 2 is her, so I keep the two apart.
Owen, Mrs. Alvarez and a woman without a name
Owen is named in the dialogue, and so are Mrs. Alvarez and a Mr. Hale, though the subtitles do not say whether Hale is Owen's surname. The examiner in episode 2 goes unnamed. The setting is a campus and the story is fiction: Owen is written as an adult, and anyone shown as a student is an adult college student (18+). Generated characters play the cast, with no creator twin involved.
A game that stops at the line
Our score is a 4 on the five-level scale in the porn guide. The rules game in episode 2 is the closest the free pair gets to the line, and it stays on the right side of it: no nudity, no sex, and the heat sits in the dialogue. Adult scenes are saved for the paid episodes of CandyShorts.
The price of the last three episodes
Finishing the story takes 36 tokens, three episodes at 12 each, and Premium's monthly allowance of 100 covers that on Candy.ai. The pricing page covers plans and token rules.
For viewers who want a hook before the heat
Pick it on Candy AI Shorts if you like a high-concept premise with a countdown and a tease that runs on rules. Pass if you want realism, since the story runs on a pill. The Man Next Door Knows spends its free pair on a puzzle too, Kiss My Enemy builds on a 30-day deadline, and Yes Professor puts a different power game on campus. More titles with a hook sit in the series hub.
