Episode 2 starts with a search. A voice calls "Kira?" and she answers, "In here." He asks what is going on. She says that before they begin, he follows her rules, and he asks what the camera is for. While it runs, she tells him, his job is to please her. "Yes, mistress," he says. She asks if they should begin, and the closing line asks whether he will behave for her. The shift from comforting friend to man taking orders is the point of the episode, and the camera is the one prop it leaves unexplained.
Her place, her rules
The setup frames the home as Kira's territory: her place, her rules and a space upstairs where what happens is meant to stay hidden. The free pair gets as far as the rules and the lens. Three adults appear by name: Neil, Kira and Trish. Kira is named aloud in episode 2, and I use her name for episode 1 because it is the same woman. Trish turns up only in an apology and as the other end of the friendship, and Kira's ex is mentioned but not heard. All are invented characters, with no real performer behind them.
